Canon appoints Login Systems Albania to be its wholesale distributor in Albania
Tirana, 25 Jan 2010. Today, Login Systems Albania, a subsidiary of a leading regional wholesale distributor, Login Systems, announces its official start of being importer and wholesale distributor of Canon products in Albania.

World-wide consolidated annual revenues of Canon for 2008 were 4,094,161 million yen (cca 49 bilion US dollars).
Login Systems internal analysis estimates shows that introducing Canon on Albanian market through Login Systems authorized resellers will create a couple dozen new job positions and will save several hundred thousands of dollars for the Albanian customers in personal productivity, there will be less consumption of energy as well as will improve marketing and competitiveness of companies and organizations.
According to specialized agency for market research IDC, the market in Albania for hard-copy peripherals (“HPC”) such as printers and multi-functional printers was around $6M reaching 20,656 units in 2008 (IDC expects spending on HCP in Albania to increase at a CAGR of 6.5% across the five-year forecast period, with expenditures totaling $7.71 million in 2013.). In addition, Login Systems estimates that the market for photo and video products was more than $2M. The previous amounts combined with consumables for printers created a market of almost $10M annually.
“Besides being world-wide leader in many areas such as photo/video products and printers, Canon is well known brand in Albania”, said Taki Gjorgijev, Canon CCI Partner Manager for Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia. “However, the market share of Canon does not reflect these potentials in Albania. By introducing Login Systems as a wholesale distributor in Albania, we believe Canon products to become more reachable and acceptable for consumers, businesses and organizations.”
Login Systems main expertise is in development of network of IT companies that will sell all Canon product range to the market. The young and ambitious team of Login Systems Albania in Tirana fueled by the support of regional resources of Login Systems will introduce innovative and efficient ways to cover the needs of the market and deliver the Canon products through well-prepared resellers.
According to Joniada Hamza, Login Systems’ product marketing manager for Canon, Login Systems will have different types of resellers that will integrate Canon products in their offerings. “For home and SOHO usage, we are planning to work more with retail chain like Neptun shops as well as with several smaller retailers. For businesses and organizations, Login Systems will work tightly with value added resellers that will integrate Canon products within customers’ environment”.
In order to execute the plan and stimulate these benefits for all parties, Login Systems Albania is planning to invest up to 100.000 dollars. The investment will come from internal sources and from US based venture capital fund SEAF. Investment will be primarily used for larger inventory, reseller readiness, marketing activities, process improvement and employee training with the highest international standards.
